The Nene Valley Railway will be 45 years old during June 2022, however the concept began beyond that when a group of enthusiasts clubbed together and purchased some land, some track, a locomotive and rolling stock. This was the beginning of a dream, and one that still exists today bringing the heady days of steam alive and also that of the more younger additions of diesels, embracing all eras of train movement.

NVR, relies heavily on the passion of the volunteers who pour love and time in bringing this together for the enjoyment of all ages

NVR volunteers span the ages of 13 to 90 supported by a small group of employees, they are the life blood of something both historic and enjoyable
